Is It Worth Getting Your Cards Graded?
Grading your cards is worth it if they are rare, valuable, or in mint condition. It can boost value by verifying authenticity and condition. Collectors seek high-end graded cards, like 9 or 10 from PSA, BGS, or CGC. Always compare the raw card's value to the graded value to decide if grading costs are justified. Personally, I grade common and insert cards because I enjoy them. I'll share my opinion on each grading company and which ones I use for different types of cards.

PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator}
Pricing is a little bit high I believe. To receive any discount, you must be a collector club member, at a cost of $149.00 or $199 per year. If you're not a member cost per card is $24.99. (turnaround time is 65 days)
Pros:
* Highly reputable and well-known brand.
*Higher card values on PSA graded cards then any other company.
*Accurate & reliable
*Mobile app to track submissions.

Cons:
*Relatively Slow Customer Service.
*Very long turnaround times, due to popularity.
*upgrade cost for high value cards.

BGS (Beckett Grading Service)
Pricing is better with Beckett; you just don't the value back as you do with PSA. Some time I feel Becket just does not know where they are going in the future. Cost per card is $14.95 w/ subgrades $17.95 (turnaround time is 45 days - will take longer then listed)
Pros:
*High Value on graded cards.
* Highly reputable and well-known company.
*A change to get a highly sought-after Black Lable. (Mint perfect 10)
*Accurate grading, with subgrades.
*protective slabs.

Cons:
*Long turnaround times, then listed.
*Quite a complicated grading scale for beginners.
*Basic autograph grading system.

CGC (Certified Guaranty Company)
Pricing is very fair with bulk starting at $14.00 (minimum 25 cards), Economy starting at $17.00 each. (Turnaround about 20days) CGC give a list of several different option to choose from.
Pros:
*Good turn around times.
*Several different service offerings.
*Cheaper prices.

Cons:
*Slabs hold lower value them more established services.
*Questions around reliability & consistency of cards graded.

SGC (Sportscard Guarantee Corporation)
SGC mostly focused on sport card, especially vintager ones. Cost per grading is $15.00 a card up to $3500 in value. Over #3500 in value service is go up to $85.00. SGC also offers TCG service at $12.00 each card. (if you want to grade a card for your collection that wont go very high in value SGC is great for cost.
Pro:
Reputable & experienced company.
*Good turnaround times.
*Cheap service.
*Mobile app to track submissions.

Cons:
*Standard size slabs feels less safe then some alternatives
*Lower added value Compared to PSA & BGS>

Degree Grading
Degree is a new company in the grading card business, I have used them several times and are a great look slab and labeling. I used Degree for more special insert card for personal collection and kids can afford. Kids can't afford cards from PSA or BGC. Cost is $25.00 per card (turnaround time is about 50 days) They have a special right now, for first time 5 cards for $50.00.
Pros:
*Great customer service, (which most companies do not have anymore)
*Reliable Grading with subgrades.
*Most protective slabs & best card labels.
*This company will be in the top 3 in the future.

Cons:
* Not a well name company at this time.
*Card value will not go up as PSA or BGS.
